Unable to Change IE/Windows Proxy Settings !
proxy server settings won't change !
Is your Browser showing the pop up "Cant connect to Proxy Server",
Go to Internet properties -> Click on Connection Tab --> Click On Lan Settings Ohh.. are you able to do that , I mean are you able to click on the Lan connections " then you can change the proxy settings from the options , :-)
If you cant change the proxy settings / ( Unable to change the proxy settings) what will you do ?
OPTION 1
As per Microsoft Discussion "This issue occurs due to Internet Explorer settings or permission." Check the permissions on Internet Settings in registry
a) Click on start button > type regedit in the search box and hit enter.
b) Navigate to the location below.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
c) Right Click on Internet Settings and select Permissions.
d) Ensure that your user profile has full control.
Try resetting IE11, Tools> Internet Options Advanced tab, Reset button.
OPTION 2- My Opinion (Manual Fix)
DELETE THE REGISTRY KEYS AS FOLLOW
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" ProxyServer
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" ProxyOverride
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" ProxyServer
ADD THESE REGISTRY KEYS:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings""ProxyEnable REG_DWORD 0"
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" "GlobalUserOffline REG_DWORD 0
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" ProxySettingsPerUser REG_DWORD 1
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings" ProxySettingsPerUser REG_DWORD 1
